What happens to my data?

Your conversations, memories, characters, documents, and settings all stay on your computer in a local SQLite database. Nothing is ever sent to our servers or any third party. You have full control to export, back up, or delete everything.

How many devices can I use my license on?

Each license key activates on up to 3 devices. If you reinstall or reset your OS on the same machine, the existing activation is reused — it does not count as a new device.

Yes. Each character tracks relationship history through private memory. Over time they move through continuity stages — from newly awakened and curious, to settling in, to deeply established. I'm getting a "Timed Out" error when chatting. How do I fix it?

This usually means your GPU doesn't have enough VRAM to fully offload the AI model. Go to Settings → GPU and reduce the number of GPU layers. Start by lowering it to around 10–15 and test from there. The fewer layers on the GPU, the more work shifts to your CPU (which is slower but always works). If you have a lower-end GPU (4 GB VRAM or less), you may also want to try the Light AI Pack, which uses a smaller model that runs more efficiently on modest hardware.
